Sorry God… I am toooooooo busy… Please accept my prayers virtually!

Usually when I ask some one, “how is life?”. I get a very common answer, “life is good and busy.” Our major time is spent on work. Rest some time is spent with family and fulfilling our social needs, going to gym twice a day, attending exhibitions, managing our social networking profiles on Facebook & Twitter with every event occurring in day-to-day life and the list goes on…. When I say internet is a boon to us… I know all of you will agree to it… we all are experiencing the effects of this boon may be every second of our lives… It just entered lives of millions of us and turned all the complex tasks into simpler ones effectively.

Though in the amidst of all this, we hardly have any time for ourselves. Right? Yes that’s the fact. So just imagine how difficult it is to take out time for our creator… the creator of universe… GOD!

Sometimes thoughts come to my mind that we have been becoming so selfish day-by-day. Of course we are selfish in our professional lives and personal lives. We socialize and make friends with people only who are somewhere connected to our professional benefits. We fall in love after we are sure that the person we are falling in love is financially sound, from a good family background, is settled in life and is quite educated. Thank God these days’ religions don’t matter so much! And when it comes to prayers… oh… please don’t smile… we all are same J yup… the big bad word SELFISH applies here too…! Don’t tell me you……. okie forget it…! I guess by now God has become habituate of all this. Seriously!

Well, thinking about how ignored God must be feeling (NO OFFENSES), a Romanian company has started offering God believers an online service enabling them to send prayers to priests who will read them out during church services, charging a nominal fee. It is been heard that Orthodox believers have to pay euro1 (US$1.44) per day or euro24 (US$34) online per month for their prayer to be read. Currently, just four churches are enlisted on the site. Well according to sources, the Romanian Orthodox church, to which more than 85 percent of Romanians belong, did not approve this prayer method. They feel that this could lead to laziness.

But I guess, all the inventions & discoveries face acception as well as rejection. I have gone through the websites of International prayer groups and have observed that hundreds of thousands of people have applied for prayers and the priests have prayed for them.

It has been taught to us that prayer is much more than asking God for His help or intervention and does involves coming into harmony with almighty! Prayer is communion with God. Prayer is the act of going into God’s presence to be with the Lord. I feel that we all are constantly on a stretch, if not on a strain, to find out new methods, new plans, new organizations to advance our methods to show our religious side though what our loving God wishes is for not more machinery, new organizations or noble methods, but his people to just spare some time with him, in case they really indent to!

Prior to internet, things involved several tiring tasks however, with the advent of internet now every task seems like a cool breeze. Not just work but it did made our personal & professional lives also easier. Communicating with loved ones be it God is not a big deal! See… you reach and communicate to God just by few clicks!

Internet has really made a tremendous impact in our day-to-day life or rather has taken control of our lives. Which means our internet or network needs to be more secured. Friends a good Anti-Virus needed or else just imagine what will happen to the prayers. Think it…!

May be a bit weird, but being a part of 2.3% of the worlds population who are termed as atheist makes me tough to be a believer.
But thoughts flowed smoothly on this blog

Excellent post I have to admit, God and the Internet Age…:)

We pray to the Almighty because of our wants, as one want is fulfilled we have another 10 already on our request list for God.

Some people think that by offering and donating to the Temples etc. will bring them more fortune and Grace from Him, is pure speculation…to pray is to ask for Forgiveness, for our sins and not for anything that we want,. Don’t you think that the Almighty who knows everything, as He is the Creator would not know what we want????

We do not need to ask He already knows..to be forgiven for our sins created now and in the past is what we should pray for, and through prayer our faith in Him becomes much more greater, and over time with increased faith, our way of approach and our way of thinking also changes, we are able and capable of handling tougher situations with ease, as we now begin to feel and our soul within knows that she is not alone, that there is a Higher power that dwells within us all…we just need to have faith!!!

Technology was intended to save time. But, the present day applications such as Facebook, Tweet etc taken away a lot of our valuable time. We have to be cautious while using these. We must remember that God is the most important thing in life and ‘ Prayer’ is a communication of soul with him. No virtual thing would serve any purpose.
